One of my minimalist paintings of birds in flight that inspired me in the eastern sierra in California. It was dusk and these birds are Californian Gulls. They are a long way from the sea and used the warm thermal air from a hot spring to gain height to keep flying further. I am always inspired by nature, and also by birds. To me they symbolise freedom, time, a connection to the continuation of Time and nature. The minimalist and almost abstract has inspired me and this became a body of 8 works.
